Forgot to Purchase Village of Lemont Vehicle Sticker?

Notice-Forgot to Purchase a Vehicle Sticker

If you receive this letter and no longer own your vehicle please contact the Village of Lemont at 630-257-1550.

All residents who have vehicles registered with a Village of Lemont address through the Illinois Secretary of State's Office, regardless of where the vehicle is housed, are required to purchase a Village of Lemont vehicle sticker (Ordinance O-49-19).

The 2019-2020 vehicle stickers were available for purchase beginning June 2019. The stickers must be affixed to the lower corner of the passenger side windshield by July 31, 2019. All vehicles registered to a Village of Lemont address must display a current vehicle sticker. Vehicle sticker fees vary based on the type of vehicle.

Please note that all registered vehicles not displaying and/or not having purchased a valid sticker are subject to an ordinance violation.

Failure to purchase a sticker by July 31 resulted in a $50 late fee per sticker in addition to the cost of the vehicle sticker. Vehicle stickers must be purchased by September 30 to avoid additional ordinance violation fines for failure to purchase.

The Village is extending the period before a fine will be assessed to September 30, 2019.

Note: Enforcement of the ordinance is no longer limited to failure to display a vehicle sticker. If you fail to purchase a valid sticker by September 30, a fine will be assessed for each sticker not purchased. Residents will still be afforded due process at an adjudication hearing to contest the fine.

Vehicle stickers can be purchased with cash, check or credit card at Village Hall, 418 Main Street, Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
