Take a guided walking tour of Lemont's quarries and the I&M Canal. You will learn the history of how the quarries came to be and how the I&M canal opened Lemont as a direct pathway to Chicago.
The walk covers about 3/4 of a mile and covers some rocky terrain with some slight inclines.
Meet at the Heritage Quarries 1st parking lot; entrance to roadway to parking lot is across the RR tracks from Turnabout Pizza, 1000 Main Street.
