Contractor License Application

Click the link above to license with the Village of Lemont. We are now using an online, cloud-based licensing and permitting system.

Beginning August 29, 2022, we will only accept applications for contractor licenses and building permits online.

There is a single, flat fee of $100 for all general contractor and sub-contractor licenses. This fee is now paid online by credit card or e-check.

A license fee is not charged for the following contractor trades: Electrical, Plumbing, Irrigation, Fire Alarm and Fire Sprinkler.

Contractor licenses will not be processed until fees are paid and all liability and workman's compensation insurance requirements are met.  

Contractors may not perform work in the Village without a valid license. Contractors caught working without a license will be issued a citation and will not be allowed to continue work until licensing requirements have been met.
