Overview

In 2001, the Village Board created a Historic District which encompasses the downtown commercial district and adjacent residential areas including four blocks of Singer Avenue. The Historic Preservation Commission is an appointed seven-member body that meets monthly to review applications and conduct public hearings for Certificates of Appropriateness for exterior alterations to buildings in the District. The application process is part of the submittal in the Building Division's online permit portal.
