Downtown Parking Regulations

Whether you’re coming to town for a few hours to run errands, visiting for a wedding or special event, or you want to take advantage of our walkable downtown, we have many places to park. 

Street Parking

Street parking is readily available throughout Lemont Downtown. Be sure to check for signs and set a timer on your phone as most street spots are good for 2 hours.

Lot Parking

Free Public Parking Available in Lemont Downtown: 

• Village Hall Parking Lot | 418 Main Street 
• Talcott Square Lot | 411 Talcott Avenue
• Talcott Square South | 414 Talcott Avenue, Lemont
• Canal Center (Safety Village) Lot | 55 Stephen St
• Stephen Street Lot | 75 Stephen Street, Lemont
• Village Parking Garage (Over 260 Spots) | 320 River Street, Lemont
• Canal Street Lot | 300 Canal St
• Metra Station Lots (Free after 10AM and All Day on the Weekends) 101 Main Street

Village Public Parking lots have a 4 hour limit from 9AM - 6PM.  

There is No Parking in the Village Parking Garage from 3AM - 6AM daily. 

Downtown Resident Parking

The Village of Lemont has a program for the Village Parking Garage that allows resident vehicles displaying a Village-issued hang tag to be exempt from the garage parking restrictions. Hang tags must be properly displayed by hanging on the rear view mirror in the interior of the vehicle. Only residents in the Downtown District are eligible to purchase the hang tags.  Purchase your hang tag in our online portal.

Vehicles parked in the Village Parking Garage reserve stalls are exempt from parking restrictions.
